Disclaimer
Helmet disclaimer
This surf helmet has been designed with safety in mind, particularly incorporating a bump cap portion that meets the EN 812:2012 standard. It is important to note that while the bump cap has been tested to withstand up to 15kN of force in controlled laboratory conditions, real-world situations can be unpredictable and chaotic. This is not a bicycle or skateboarding helmet, and not effective for use outside of water.
Limitations
Unlike industrial helmets, bump caps are specifically intended to protect the wearer from static objects such as walking into low ceilings or encountering hanging obstructions. Impact tests have been conducted using a 5kg flat striker dropped from a height of 250mm, with a maximum allowable transmitted force of 15kN. These tests simulate scenarios akin to industrial helmet requirements but at a lower energy level. The impacts are carried out on the front and rear of the helmet, with the headform tilted at 30° and 60° to reflect potential real-world impacts. Surf Skull, LLC did not preform these tests; to meet EN 812: 2012 standards we presume they were performed by our suppliers.
Please exercise judgment and user discretion
Users are strongly advised to exercise judgment and discretion while using this surf helmet. While it is crafted with safety standards in mind, no helmet can guarantee the prevention of all concussions or injuries in every conceivable scenario. Real-world conditions may vary, and impacts can differ significantly from controlled laboratory tests.
By using this helmet, you acknowledge and understand the limitations outlined in this disclaimer. The manufacturer cannot guarantee absolute protection against all potential risks, and user awareness and caution are crucial elements in enhancing safety.
